ABOUT ITS
A broad range of diverse technologies, collectively known as Intelligent Transportation
Systems (ITS), holds the answer to many of our traffic and transport problems. ITS makes
use of the latest IT applications and communication techniques to monitor real time traffic
information in order to optimize the existing infrastructure and realizing innovative solutions
for existing traffic and transport problems.
ITS is comprised of a number of technologies which facilitate collection, processing and
dissemination of real time information so as to support informed decision making. This in turn
helps save lives, time and money.
