AITS India is  an  umbrella   organization  which  represents  a broad spectrum of members including industry, government, consumer  organizations, and  academia  in   fostering  the development  and  deployment  of   Intelligent  transport systems  in  India. Such systems often include components used in electronic commerce, and related applications.

AITS India also has strong links internationally with similar organizations including ITS America, ERTICO, VERTIS  and ITS  Asia-Pacific. AITS  India can  therefore   represent  the  membership  internationally and  provide   valuable  insight   into  the  latest  global developments  without  each  member  having to attend  all events with the subsequent human  resource  and  financial burden.
