first Intelligent Transport Systems Center of Excellence (India)
The India’s first Public-Private Partnership led Intelligent Transport Systems development center initiative has been initiated by AITS, India. This initiative is being supported by following: ITS Australia:
Vide an MoU signed during the 12th World Congress at San-Francisco
in Nov, 2005 & in the presence of Hon’ble Minister Transport,
Delhi Government. This ITS-I initiative is also being supported by similar National & International Forums / Organisations. Some of its initial steps include setting up an ITS Park in Delhi. for Intelligent Transport Systems INDIA Delhi Office: Email:secretariat@itsindia.org Soon, ITS Centre of Excellence (India), ITS-I will come into physical existence to save Lives, Time, Money and Environment. The ITS-I will accelerate the adoption of technology to reduce traffic congestion, collisions, and pollution, and improve the on-time service delivery of public transport. The ITS-I will function as a technology demonstrator, software validation facility and incubator for small to medium ITS businesses. The ITS-I will provide unprecedented technology access to build better more robust transport solutions – faster. It will showcase the latest transport security solutions, such as a new generation of artificial intelligence computing that can speed up the recognition of potential incidents and remove bottlenecks before they cause gridlock. |
